Ruthie Nell Baldwin

Service for Ruthie "Nell" Baldwin, 87, of Blum will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. Jim Crouch will officiate. Burial will be in Blum Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Monday, at the funeral home.

Ruthie "Nell" Baldwin passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018 in Fort Worth. She was born December 2, in Lamesa to Orbra James and Mary Myrtle Finto Roberts. She married Emmett Olen Baldwin on September 6, 1947 in San Antonio. She was a homemaker and was of the Church of Christ faith.

Nell’s myriad earthly interests included genealogy, sewing (started at age 4!), sign language (charter member of Trinity Valley Interpreters for the Deaf, advisory board at Tarrant County Junior College for the deaf program), healthy eating (way before it was cool!), fostering deaf and other special needs children, and so much more. It was her love of and dedication to both the Bible and her family, however, that ranked at the top of any list. She will be missed!

Survivors include her daughter, Cheri Conner, CO; sons, Randell (Helen) Baldwin, NC; William Baldwin and Jana, TX; Brent Baldwin and Pam, TX; Nathan (Sonia) Herndon, OK; grandchildren, Jason (Camille) Conner, AZ; Ben Conner, CO; Brandi (Cat) Turcata, NC; Angie (Phillip) Williams, TX; Lisa (Ray) Gonzales, CA; Matthew (Jill) Baldwin, NC; Katie (Paul) Fischer, SC; Erika (Chon) Martinez, DeAndra Baldwin, D.J. (Will) Baldwin, Macklin Baldwin, Korbin Baldwin, Kolton Baldwin, TX; Carah Herndon, OK; great-grandchildren, Felicia, Alexis, Austin, Rachael, Dylan, Bethany, Hannah, Victoria (Tori), Anieah, Boyce Jr., Clara, James, Iris, Harry, Lilly; daughters-in-law, Cindy (Baldwin) Dreiling, CO; Kathi Baldwin, TX; sisters, Betty Bentch, MO; Lyn Carter, CO; sisters-in-law, Barbara Baldwin, CA and Gladys Finto, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orbra James and Mary Myrtle Finto; husband, Emmett Olen Baldwin on August 23, 1988; son, Steven Baldwin; son-in-law, Larry Conner; grandson, Jeffrey Baldwin; brother, James Finto; and brothers-in-law: Leo Baldwin and George Bentch.

Many, many thanks go to: Emery J. Lilge Hospice House in Fort Worth and Angel, Ella, and Bob, for the tender care and support they provided Nell and the rest of the family. Also the Harris Methodist Hospital in Cleburne and HMH SW in Fort Worth, particularly the Neuro ICU and Neuro floor and the Wesley House Assisted Living in Hillsboro. She loved her brief time there!
