Sarah Ellis

Sarah Marie Ellis passed away Sunday, August 17, 2008 in Ft. Worth. She was born August 7, 1926 in Johnson County, TX to Claude and Sarah Elizabeth (Williams) Kelley. She married Cary Hill, who preceded her in death and Johnnie Ellis, Sr., who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Ellis formerly worked as an assistant dietian at Johnson County Memorial Hospital for many years, and was a teachers aide for seven years for Cleburne Independent School District. Mrs. Ellis enjoyed cooking and loved to read and sing.

Sarah Marie Ellis is survived by her daughters, Marti Bailey; Carla Pollard and husband Willie B. all of Cleburne and Claudia Pollard and husband Wayne of Valdosta, GA; sons, Cary Hill, III and wife Linda of N. Little Rock, AR, Roger Lester Hill and wife Beverly, and Johnnie Ellis, Jr. and wife Jackie all of Ft. Worth; 10 grandchildren, Roger Hill Jr., Devetra White, Derrick Simmons, Lakisha Bailey, Willie B. Pollard, Jr., Christopher Bailey, Marie Pollard, Kyndell Bailey, Bryson Bailey, Tyreke Ellis; and 10 great-grandchildren.
