Service for Sarah Louise Jackson, 72, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016 in the First Baptist Church of Rio Vista. Dr. Paul Pinyan will officiate. Burial will be in Rio Vista Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Derek Jackson, Phillip Jackson, Jr., David Jackson, Lemuel Jackson, Colt Bishop, Blake Freedman, Neal Freedman, and Terry Worlow.
Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Sarah Louise Jackson passed away Friday, Jan. 8, 2016 in Cleburne. She was born April 14, 1943 in Kentucky to Finis and Sarah Elizabeth Taylor VanVactor. She married the love of her life, Lemuel Jackson on May 7, 1960 in Kentucky.
Mrs. Jackson was a retired cafeteria worker for Rio Vista ISD and a loving, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed sewing and genealogy, but her passion was her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rio Vista.
Survivors include her sons, Phillip Jackson Sr. and wife Karen and Brad Jackson, both of Rio Vista; grandchildren, Ashley Hutson and husband Brad, David Roy Jackson, Phillip Jackson, Jr., Derek Jackson, Amber Bishop and husband Colt, Lemuel Jackson, Hope Young, Susan Latham, Kyle Stevens, and Kevin Stevens; great grandchildren, Nathan Hutson, Carmen Hutson, Dalton Hutson, Jonas Jackson, Kaytelyn Bishop, and Hunter Bishop; brothers, Lester VanVactor and wife Lois and James VanVactor and wife Sara; all of Kentucky; sister, Bertha Jewell and husband Earl of Kentucky; beloved pets, Sam and Sox; and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lemuel in 2005; sister, Mary Chappell; and brothers, Edward VanVactor; an infant brother; and beloved cat, Boots.
