Sarah Kitchens

Service for Sarah Cathryn Kitchens, 86, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. Kevin Rhodes will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenacres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M., Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kitchens passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 in Cleburne. She was born Dec. 5, 1925 in Collins, Miss. to Andrew Wilford and Ora Hawkins Lee. She married Joseph D. Kitchens in Mendenhall, Miss. Mrs. Kitchens and her husband were the owners and operators of Kitchens Bakery in Cleburne for 24 years. She was also a member of the Granbury Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include her two daughters, Mary Katherine Vaughn of Cleburne and Jo Ann Bates and husband Charlie F. of Cleburne; two sons, David E. Kitchens and wife Susan and Wayne Kitchens and wife Maria of Rapid City, South Dakota; 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph D. Kitchens in 1989; one son, Billy H. Kitchens; two brothers, four sisters and a grandson, Jackey Richey.
