Memorial services for SFC (Ret.) Stephen Roy Rotenberry, 48, of Phenix City, Ala., formerly of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 4, 2010 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel with visitation to follow.
SFC (Ret.) Rotenberry passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010 in Phenix City, Ala. He was born Nov. 10, 1961 in Cleburne to Chester Roy and Janis Laverne Haverly Rotenberry. Stephen married Andrea Sait of Germany on March 13, 1989 in Cleburne.
He was a 1980 graduate of Cleburne High School and served his country proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps. before joining the U.S. Army. After serving in Macedonia, Bosnia, Somalia and Germany, Stephen retired on May 31, 2007 with more than 21 years service as an armament repairer.
Stephen Rotenberry is survived by his wife of 21 years, Andrea Rotenberry of Phenix City, Ala.; daughter, Teressa and husband Lonnie Piatt of Columbus, GA; granddaughters, Issabela and Melanie Piatt; parents, Janis and Jimmy Sims of Cleburne and Chester and Lilian Rotenberry of Rio Vista; sister, Terri and husband Bart Butler of Austin; brothers, Robert and wife Milissa Rotenberry and Dustin Sims, both
of Cleburne; 4 step-sisters, Stacy and Christy Wilson, Dawn Rotenberry and Amber Kemp, all of Denton; extended family of Germany, grandmother of Cleburne and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
