Funeral services for Sharon Ann Dickhaut, 61, lifelong resident of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 15, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Harly Charles will officiate. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday.
Sharon passed away Friday, March 8, 2013 in Fort Worth, surrounded by loved ones. She was born to Rexford Leroy and Reva Vail Turner on May 7, 1951 in Cleburne. Sharon was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Cleburne. She worked several years as a real estate agent for builders in the area. “Memo” or “Bobo” as her grandchildren called her, lived for her family. It does not do her justice to say she was merely, family oriented. She was known as the “favorite” everything; grandmother, aunt, friend, etc. She had the ability to light up any room she entered and put laughter in your heart. She could be found doing anything from Disney and theme parks to zip lining with her children and grandchildren. It has been said that she loved and lived life to its fullest. Not only was she a fun and silly grandmother, she was strong willed. She was an avid Cowboys fan who enjoyed “a close game” best of all. Sharon was the ultimate hostess and enjoyed gatherings, but especially at Christmas time. Her infectious laugh and enormous capacity to love will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Bobby and Roy Turner.
Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Jason and Angie Dickhaut; daughter, Amy Dickhaut; grandchildren, Justin Light, Taylor Dickhaut, Stephanie Dickhaut, Colton Dickhaut, and Abby Dickhaut; siblings, Joyce Curlee, Rex Turner, Barbara Bradford, Jean Peake, and Al Turner; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends, including her best friend, Wendy Vandygrift.
