Sharon Jiles

Sharon Diane Jiles, 75, of Cleburne went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 8, 2023. A “Celebration of Life” service will be held Friday, January 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Bono Baptist Church following a family graveside service. Open visitation will be 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Thursday, January 12 at Crosier Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home.

Sharon was born September 9, 1947 in Cleburne to John W. Story and Doris Valdene Montgomery Story. She graduated from Cleburne High School in 1966 and later married her love, Steve Jiles, on June 14, 1968 in Cleburne. Upon graduation, she attended business school and worked at the telephone company. Soon after, she began her childcare business. Sharon was well known around town as “Nanny Sharon” where she kept teacher’s children for around 30 years. She loved Jesus, her Bono church family, and being with friends and loved ones. She was always the life of the party and never met a stranger. Sharon is greatly loved and will be dearly missed.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Steve Jiles of Cleburne; daughter Mindi Bentley and husband Kevin of Cleburne; granddaughter Lauren Bentley; sister, Gayla Fulenwider and husband Ron of Grand Prairie; nephew Daniel Fulenwider; and best friend and “sister” Teresa McAlister.
