Shelia Hill Carroll

Services for Shelia Hill Carroll, 82, of Whitney, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 30, 2024, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Godley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Friday, November 29, 2024, at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are Camron Carroll, Jr. Carroll, Ryan Carroll, Larry Buckner, Raymond Gonzales, and Jerry Walton. Honorary pallbearer will be Andy Schisler.

Shelia passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024, in Whitney. She was born on November 16, 1942, in Cleburne, and was united in marriage to Burl Jr. Carroll on March 18, 1958. A dedicated homemaker, Shelia was a proud member of Community Baptist Church in Rendon. She embodied strength and resilience, gracefully managing the challenges of a military lifestyle as she moved her family with the Army, and she was a steadfast partner to her husband in law enforcement. Known for her quiet demeanor and warm smile that radiated joy, Shelia touched the lives of many. Her small stature belied a spirit that inspired those around her—she was a woman admired and respected by all who knew her. Shelia will be profoundly missed, leaving behind cherished memories for all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Shelia is survived by her three sons and their spouses, Danny Carroll and Mary, Howard Carroll and Lynda, and Steve Carroll and Nancy; her brother, James Hill and wife Barbara; and a legacy of love through her 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Shelia was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Eloise Hill; her husband of 48 years, Burl Jr. Carroll; son, Jesse Carroll; sisters, Lawanda Rayborn, Betty Boyd, Geneva Tucker, Patsy Lyles, and Marcille Smith; brothers, Mickey Hill, and Ray Hill.
