Shirley Hail

A memorial service for Shirley Yater Hail, 80, of Joshua, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2008 in the Berachah Church, Houston, TX. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Houston, TX.

Shirley Yater Hail passed away Monday, May 12, 2008 in Ft. Worth. She was born February 26, 1928 in Cleburne, TX to Alexander Norwood and Ola Ewing Yater. She married Albert Weems Hail of Houston, TX .

Mrs. Hail was a homemaker and a member of the Cleburne Garden Club, Cleburne Iris Society and a longtime member of Berachal Church in Houston, TX. She was dedicated to her faith as a Christian, as well as to her children and grandchildren. She loved her dogs, rescuing many, who were her constant companions. Her beautiful Irises are testament to her love of gardening.

Shirley Hail is survived by her son, Thomas Weems Hail of Joshua; daughters, Lee Anne Richard and husband Bob of Burleson and Sandra Dixon and husband Carl of College Station; grandchildren, Hailee Richard and Sam Richard; brother, Alexander Norwood Yater, Jr. of Grand Junction, Colorado and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Weems Hail in 1985.
