Services for Shirley Jean Henry, 69, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, November 13, 2010, in the First Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The Reverend E.D. Ingram will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Shirley Jean Henry was called home by the Lord, Monday, November 8, 2010 in Ft. Worth. She was born July 3, 1941 in Cleburne to Coleman Davis Liggins, Sr. and Shirley Mae Talley Liggins. She married James Andrew Henry, Sr. on December 31, 1962 in Cleburne.
Mrs. Henry worked for 48 years for Harris Hospital Downtown as a nurse and was also a licensed cosmetologist. She was a loyal and faithful member of the First Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
Shirley Jean Henry was a beautiful, wonderful God-fearing woman. She was a loving compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, James A. Henry, Sr. of Cleburne; three daughters, Vileta Henry-Dumas, Jacqueline Yvette Navarrete and husband, Tolin and Catrina Fuller; three sons, James A. Henry, Jr. Robert D. Henry, Sr. and wife, Roxanne and Coleman Darnell Johns, Sr.; twenty grandchildren; two brothers, James Liggins, Sr. and wife, Gloria and Arthor Liggins and wife, June; one aunt, Grace Allen and a number of nieces and nephews, including, Dr. Phillip Liggins and wife, Heidi and Tanya Holmes. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Mae Demmons; father, C.D. Liggins, Sr.; brother, C.D. Liggins, Jr. and sister, Peggy Holmes.
