Memorial service for Shirley A. Humphries, 76, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 15, 2023 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Steve Mullen will officiate.

Shirley passed away July 8, 2023 in Fort Worth. She was born October 24, 1946 in Commerce to Dellian Thomas Clayton and Opal Aleene (Wright) Clayton. Shirley married Nolan Wayne Humphries, Sr. on February 29, 1964, in Dallas. She was a social worker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Shirley loved shopping, drinking coffee and watching her Tik Tok. She was always honest about where you stood with her. The beach was her favorite place too be. Her husband, children and grandchildren were her whole life. Shirley was a wonderful wife, mom, and grandmother and will be missed dearly.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 60 years, Nolan Wayne Humphries, Sr.; children, Debra Cox and husband, James, Shelly Matus and husband, Luke, Nolan Wayne Humphries, Jr., Jody Humphries and wife, Joanna; her beloved dog, Freddy; sisters, Barbara Gilliland, Mildred Reed; grandchildren, Trey Humphries, Jacob Humphries, Jordan Maxey, Morgan Bell, Zachary Matus, Dusty Nickell, Colby Matus, and Madalynn Humphries; 9 great- grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Dellian and Opal Clayton and brother, Thomas Leo Clayton.
