Service for Shirley Sims, 78, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, Oct. 30, 2015 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Charles E. Payne will officiate, assisted by the Reverend Brooks Monk. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home.
Shirley Sims passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 2015 in Cleburne. She was born June 9, 1937 in Keene to William L. and Gertrude Forsythe Rogers. She married Bobby Ray Sims on July 26, 1957 in Cleburne and he preceded her in death in 2014.
Shirley was an apartment manager and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend to many. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her daughters, Sherry Robinson of Keene and Amanda Hall of Kopperl; grandchildren, Brandi Carpenter and husband Justin, Cody Robinson, and Chelsea Hall; great granddaughter, Haely Robinson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Shirley Sims, Sue and Andy Walton, Jacky and Mary Jean Sims, Sammy and Helen Sims, and Jimmy and Janis Sims; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers-and sisters-in-law, Peggy Claybrook, Marshall Claybrook, Ruth Carper, Irwin Carper, Nell Stanley, and Mickey Sims.
