Shirley Valdez

Graveside service for Shirley Joyce Valdez, 83, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, July 7, 2012 in the Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Valdez passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012 in Cleburne. She was born May 21, 1929 in Belfalls to Art and Shirley Ann Smith Greenwood.

Shirley was a retired retail department manager and a member of the Westhill Church of Christ, where she taught the Angels Sunday School Class for several years.

Survivors include her daughter, Carla Crowell and husband, Keith; grandchildren, Courtney Nelson and husband, Ty and Josh Crowell and wife Laura; great grandchildren, Emily and Brody Nelson and Sawyer and Canaan Crowell; sister, Hedy Mae Olsavsky; brother, Jack Greenwood; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Joyce Johnson; three brothers and two sisters.
