Service for Stephen Quinn Hafford, 52, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at The Heights Church. Reverend Demetrius Crowder and Reverend John Warren will officiate assisted by Coach Carlos Lynn, Coach Joey McGuire and Randy McKinney. Burial will follow in Chambers Cemetery, weather permitting. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Monday, May 13, 2019 at the Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jay Scott, Al Smith, Trevor Johnson, Michael Fuller, William Fuller, Sr., William Fuller, Jr., Kevin Smith and Jeremy Fuller. The Cedar Hill Football State Champions of 2006 will act as Honorary Pallbearers.
Stephen Hafford passed away Friday, May 10, 2019, in Fort Worth. He was born March 9, 1967 in Cleburne to Herman Joseph and Frances JoAnn (Fuller) Hafford.
Mr. Hafford was a member of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where he was a Deacon for over 30 years. He was a 1985 graduate of Cleburne High School. He attended Baylor University from 1985-1987. He graduated from Eastern New Mexico University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and Kinesiology. He started his coaching career at Cedar Hill ISD in 1997 where he assisted in taking the basketball team to the State Championship in 2005. He also assisted in taking the football team to the State 5A Championship and winning in 2006. Stephen was instrumental in mentoring thousands of at-risk youth over his 22 years of service.
Survivors include his daughter, Bailey Hafford of Cleburne; mother, Frances Hafford of Cleburne; father, Herman Hafford of Fort Worth; spouse, Cena Hafford of Cleburne; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins as well as many friends, colleagues, and ex-students who loved him and will greatly miss him.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Wynell Fuller and paternal grandparents, Willie and Jaunita Hafford.
