Steve Rutledge, a devoted servant of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on February 1, 1950, in Des Arc, Arkansas and lived a life filled with faith, love, and dedication.
Steve is survived by his loving brothers, Roger Rutledge, Gary Rutledge, Terry Rutledge, and Donny Rutledge, along with numerous nieces and nephews who cherished him deeply. His legacy of compassion and warmth will forever resonate within the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him.
He was preceded in death by his cherished parents, Hubert Lee Rutledge and Dovie Mae Clark, as well as his siblings Hubert Rutledge, Jr., Tommy Rutledge, Ricky Rutledge, Lois Cook, Gladys Sijansky, Betty Love, Linda Rutledge, and Gennie Neal, all of whom he held dear.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation, which will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home located at 512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, TX 76033. A funeral service will be Friday, January 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery in Cleburne.
Steve Rutledge’s life was a testament to living with purpose and faith. He will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
