Syble Jean Vent Yarbrough passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023, in Fort Worth. She was born on April 25, 1937, in Rison, Arkansas to Austin and Bessie (Greenlee) Vent. She married Robert Jackson Yarbrough on March 17, 1956, in Dallas.
Syble lived in Texas since childhood. She held various jobs including Customer Service at Texas Bank & Trust in Arlington and a switchboard operator at Six Flags Over Texas, where she worked with the FBI to apprehend a would-be bomber at the park. She was very proud that she helped potentially save lives. Her hobbies and interests were square dancing, and RVing, which provided many memorable summers at Fun Valley in Colorado. She also enjoyed flower gardening. She loved vacations and Christmas (she was always a contender for the best gag gifts) and taking cruises with family. Syble was a 3rd grade Sunday School teacher at Fielder Rd Baptist Church in Arlington, where she and Robert were members for many years. She loved playing card games with her friends at the Burleson Senior Center and the Mansfield Senior Center. She will be remembered fondly for her faith, her silly sense of humor, and her undying love for her family.
Syble is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Yarbrough Ziebarth, and husband, Larry of Arlington; son, Mike Yarbrough of Arlington; grandsons, Justin Ziebarth and wife, Traci, and David Ziebarth and wife Richelle; great-grandchildren, Mikah, Feliciti, Reagan, Madilyn, Eli and Nora Cate; brother, Kenneth Vent of Van and a special niece, who was like a sister, Carolyn Richardson of Commerce and a host of other relatives and
friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Robert J. Yarbrough; parents; one sister, and 2 brothers.
