Ted Thurston

Service for Ted Thurston, 85, of Keene will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Monday, September 19, 2022 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Reverend Charles Payne and Reverend Brooks Monk will officiate. Burial will follow in Covington Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4:00 P.M., Sunday, September 18, 2022 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mason Sweeney, Michael Hogan, Randy Thurston, Charles Davis, James Bullard, Robbie Baugh and Donnie Williams.

Ted Thurston passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022 in Keene. He was born October 1, 1936 in Cleburne to Mason and Ona Barron Thurston. Ted married Patsy Ronda King on November 21, 1958 in Covington. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cleburne. Ted was a mechanical foreman for the Santa Fe railroad with 31 years of service. He was a Master Mason for over 50 years.

Ted is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patsy Thurston of Keene; daughter, Ronda Hogan and husband, Michael of Grandview; grandchild, Mason Sweeney of Tyler and sister, Ulyssa Foster of Arlington.

Ted is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, J.M. Thurston and Mack Lewis Thurston.
