Terry Rogers

Service for Terry Lynn Rogers, 53, of Kopperl will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 23, 2011 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Mark Ely will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Rogers passed away Monday, September 19, 2011 in Kopperl. He was born January 14, 1958 in Houston to Jimmy and Floella Kuykendall Rogers. He married Donna Avrett on December 29, 1977 in Cleburne.

Mr. Rogers was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. He loved his family very much and spent as much time as possible with them, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed being outdoors and spent a lot of time out there enjoying nature. He looked forward to his Purple Martin birds yearly return. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Rogers of Kopperl; daughters, Ginger Ratliff and husband Darrell of Kopperl, Kayla Flowers and husband Steven of Kopperl, Shawna Gossett of Cleburne; six grandsons, two granddaughters; father, Jimmy Rogers; sisters, Sylvia Prince and Mary Lou Johnson and husband Ray; brother, Jerry Rogers; mother-in-law Dorothy Avrett; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Floella Rogers and father-in-law, Johnny Avrett.
