Theda Blair

Theda R. Blair, 70, lifelong resident of Johnson County, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021 in Fort Worth. She was born to the late, Bishop and Gladys Marie Early Kinser on February 10, 1951 in Johnson County, Texas. Theda was of the Baptist faith. She retired after 37 years as a Weigh Master with Trinity Materials. She married Lynn “Muffy” Blair after being together 10 years prior, on February 10, 1995 in Cleburne, Texas.

Theda always found the best in everyone. She loved fiercely and with all she was. Her faith was strong and based in scripture. Theda spent countless hours in her yard, tending to her flowers, plants and animals. She called it her “digging and dying” time. Theda’s big heart was evident in the way she cared for, loved and tamed animals from birds and hummingbirds to wild squirrels and so many others. She was a lady that left a mark on your heart and soul. She will be missed greatly, but will be remembered with big smiles and laughter as well. Theda was preceded in death by her parents, Bishop Kinser and Gladys Marie Kinser Matthews; and nephew, Donald Lathers, Jr.

Survivors include the love of her life, best friend and husband, Lynn “Muffy” Blair; children and their spouses, Gina and Bart Basham, Donnie and Kris Shaw, Michael and Liz Morgan, Rusty Morgan, and Michelle Blair; grandchildren and their spouses, Kalani and Cole Thornton, Hannah and Dakota Massey, Ryan Shaw, Jaxon Shaw, Dylan Belhen, Nicki and Desiree Morgan, Madison Morgan, Kameron Wade, Kaitlin Wade, Austin Morgan, and Ezra Morgan; great grandchildren, Brecken Massey, Bentleigh Massey, and Bowen Morgan; sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Johnny Pearce; brother and sisters-in-law, Darrell and Eugenia Blair, Debbie Blair, and Gayla Cupit-Williams; nieces and nephews, Peggy Lathers, Chris Harris, Shane Blair, Darren Blair, Athena Blair, Kim Ramirez, Christy Habekott, and Stewart Habekott; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at Theda and Muff’s home at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, September 11, 2021, as she requested.
