Services for Thelma Loyce Atchison, 86, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2009 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Mike Mills will officiate. Burial will be in Rio Vista Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wesley Atchison, Russell Atchison, Shawn Mills, Joe Dunnigan, Tim Akey and Brandon Baxter. Honorary pallbearers will be Dana Bumbalaugh, Charlie Walker and Joe Spilman.
Thelma Loyce Atchison passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2009 in Angelton, Texas. She was born July 2, 1923 in Mullin to George and Ola (Dear) Lewis. She married Raymond Lynn Atchison on September 26, 1944 in Dallas.
She retired as a registered nurse from Darnell Army Hospital in Ft. Hood. She was of the Baptist faith.
Thelma Atchison is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Mills and husband Mike of Angelton; son, Raymond Ellis Atchison and wife Patti of Cleburne; grandchildren, Shawn Mills and wife Vannisa, Wesley Atchison and wife Andrea, Cymbre Dunnigan and husband, Joe, Heather Mills and Russell Atchison; great-grandchildren, Jaymison Dunnigan and Laurel Jean Mills and numerous nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.
