Graveside service for Thomas Cortez Brooks, 79, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 13, 2015 in Cleburne Memorial Cemetery. The Reverend Sonny Russell will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Thomas Cortez Brooks passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 in Ft. Worth. He was born July 12, 1936 in Hill County to Virgil Lee and Exa Modean Blackman Brooks. Mr. Brooks worked as a stocker in the grocery industry.
Survivors include his four siblings, Marion E. “Gene” Brooks, of Hitchcock, Christine Hughes and James W. Brooks and wife Linda C., all of Cleburne, and Era Davis and husband Charles, of Keene; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Virgil Brooks, Jr.; and sister, Belva Leona Sanderson.
