Thomas William Maloney, age 82, passed away January 8, 2025 in Keene. He was born August 18, 1942 in Elizabeth, New Jersey to June and Arthur Maloney. Tom worked in New York City as a credit union manager for the Associated Press. He moved to Florida in the late 1970’s, then in 1980 to Houston, Texas, where he managed a clothing distribution center. Here Tom met and married his dear wife Sandra Kay Caldwell who preceded him into heaven on July 23, 2019. On September 10, 2022 he married Linda Edwards in Annetta, Texas. Tom’s last major job position was as district manager for Ralph Lauren in Dallas. Tom was a beloved member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cleburne.
Tom is survived by his wife Linda Gayle Maloney, stepsons Reed and Daron Wilson, and Marc Clapp; grandchildren Kevin, Blake, Tori, and Jessica Wilson, great grandson Tristan and great granddaughter Lennon. He is also survived by nephew Randy Caldwell and his wife Bebe, niece Ashley and her children John Wyatt, Amelia Moselle and Genevieve. Survivors also include Tom’s sisters-in-law, Lorraine Myers, Kathy Edwards and Linda Sedden, brother-in-law Larry Dean, adopted son Zvonimir Nagy and best friend Tom Slowinski.
Preceding Tom into heaven were his mother, father and brother James Patrick Maloney, sister-in-law Darlene Edwards Dean and stepbrother Charles Myers.
Tom loved his country, sharing the Lord with everyone around him, playing golf and hiking the beautiful mountains and forests of Colorado. He will be remembered for his strength beyond his years, his servant’s heart and his gentle kindness. Tom’s idea of a good day was working hard to help someone in need. His many gifts of compassion leave a legacy that will never be forgotten.

Tom left these words for his loved ones: “Please do not mourn for me. This very day I am where I want to be, with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and my beautiful family. Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father but by Me.” John 14:6
Service will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Calvary Baptist Church in Cleburne. Burial will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 18, 2025 in Bomarton Cemetery in Seymour, Texas.
