Thomas Rose

Service for Thomas D. Rose, 86, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, December 13th, 2023 in the Crosier- Pearson Cleburne Chapel.
Visitation will be 10am prior to the service.
Thomas will be buried in Midlothian Cemetery.

Thomas went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday, December 9th, 2023 in Cleburne, TX.

He was born April 30th, 1937 to Hiley Dean and Laveda Estelle (Gray) Rose. He attended school in Canyon, TX and went on to join the U.S. Air Force, serving four years in the late 1950's.

In his later years Thomas married Barbara Gray in 1961 and they raised four children, ultimately settling in Cedar Hill, TX in 1979. His wife Barbara preceded him in death in 2002.

Thomas lived a prosperous life and provided for his family by working in construction. He specialized in building apartments and remodeling homes. Even upon retiring he loved building and fixing things and was an avid antiquer.

On October 8th, 2011 Thomas married Helen Louise Humpert and they moved to Cleburne. He was a devout Baptist but began attending St. Mark Methodist Church with Helen, for Sunday school. Tom loved the Lord and would sing a hymn for anyone whom would listen.

Thomas is survived by his wife Helen Rose. Sisters Joy Ellithorp and Carol Rose. Children, daughters Rhea Pentz and Trish Williams and son Walter Rose. As well as grandchildren Thomas Dean Rose III (Petey), Kristin Rose, Matthew Spradley, Angela Cutter, Clint Rose, Courtney Rose, Catherine Williams, Evan Williams and 19 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Hiley and Laveda. first wife of 42 years Barbara Rose. Son Thomas D. Rose II (Pete) and sister Flora Jane Huggard.
