Graveside service for T.J. Moxon, 87, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 1, 2023 in Greenacres Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Mr. Moxon passed away Friday, May 26, 2023 in Cleburne. He was born July 1, 1935 in Cleburne to Earnest Alvin and Gracy Mae Dyer Moxon. He married Dorothy Thornton Moxon in 1956. She preceded him in death. Mr. Moxon married Patsy Waits Mitchell on July 21, 2012 in Cleburne. Mr. Moxon served his country in the US Army Company A ARB 144th Infantry October 1961-1962 the rank of Staff Sargent. He was in the National Guard 8 years 1954-1962. He was a member of First Baptist Church in DeRidder, Louisiana while he was in the National Guard. He was a member and past deacon at Field Street Baptist Church and deacon at North Cleburne Baptist Church. Mr. Moxon retired after 30 years of service with General Motor Company. He was a very mild manner man and generous to a fault. T.J. loved to watch Gunsmoke and eat his dessert at night. He played golf four days a week and took his golf clubs on his honeymoon and vacations.
Mr. Moxon is survived by his wife, Patsy Moxon of Cleburne; children, Tim Moxon and wife, DeLynn of San Antonio, Ted Moxon and wife, D’Lynn of Arlington, Lori Hurst and husband, Kyle of Ada, Oklahoma; step-children, Danny Williams and wife, Marty of Cleburne, Tammy Hutto and husband, Scott of Joshua, Mark Williams of Cleburne; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. He loved all his family dearly and will be missed by all.
Mr. Moxon is preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy; twin brother, J.C. Moxon; sister-in-law, Patsy Moxon; sister, Tina and numerous other relatives.
