Service for T.J. Wicker, 95, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend John Glover will officiate. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7-8:30 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Mr. Wicker passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 at home. He was born October 5, 1916 in Hamlin, Texas to Eldridge and Pearl Roberts Wicker. He married Jo Glennelle Thomas on June 16, 1946 in Sweetwater.
Wicker worked for many years as an electrician for the Santa Fe Railroad. He served in Europe during WWII as a specialist. He was a longtime deacon and proud member of Field Street Baptist Church. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Cleburne Masonic Lodge No. 315. Wicker loved his church, family and friends. We imagine him laughing and telling jokes at the big 42 table by the Pearly Gates.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Jo Glennelle Wicker of Cleburne; daughters, Vicki D. Eckles of College Station and Celia K. Albertson of Cleburne; grandson, Chad Kilpatrick of Austin and granddaughter, Monica Castro of Atlanta, Georgia; great granddaughters, Ava and Olivia Castro of Atlanta and great grandson, Charlie Kilpatrick of Austin.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Community Hospice for their wonderful compassion.
