Graveside service for Tom Simpson, Sr., 74, of Walnut Springs will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016 at Rosehill Cemetery. Mr. Byron Stinson will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Saturday, at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home.

Tom Simpson, Sr. passed away Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016 in Waco. He was born June 25, 1942 in East St. Louis, IL to Clarence and Delma Hoerth Simpson. He married Tedra Stewart on Feb. 26, 1982 in Fairview Heights, IL.

Mr. Simpson served in the United States Navy and worked as an engineer for Norfolk Southern Railways. He also owned and operated a TV and VCR repair shop. He was well known as “TV Tom”. He was a loving husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, brother, and a friend to many. He was of the Church of Christ faith.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 34 years, Tedra Simpson of Walnut Springs; children, Tom Simpson, Jr. and wife Donna of Nemo, Bill Simpson and wife Deanna of Burleson, and Suzanne Simpson and partner Bobbie Brewton of Weatherford; stepchildren, Tamra Hajny and husband Shawn of Brazos Point and Tara Brown of Burleson; 17 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Robert Simpson and wife Carol of Fairview Heights, IL.; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him greatly. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Brad Simpson in 2012.
