Eldon Tom Webb, 65, of Crowley, Texas, died Saturday, October 23, 2010. He was born May 3, 1945 to the late Ozzie Emmitt (Slim) and Roxie Iris (Dutch) Webb.
Tom, a true patriot and loving husband and father has been laid to rest after a lifetime of devotion to his family and his country. His family and friends knew him best for his goofy sense of humor and giving nature. He always had a song on his lips and a joke ready to tell, most of the time starting with the punch line first. He loved spending time with his wife, woodworking with his son, and doting on his daughters. Tom also enjoyed being around his sons-in law and daughter-in-law and playing with his
grandchildren and great-grandson.
A carpenter and jack-of-all-trades for most of his life, Tom had been employed by Owen's Country Sausage for over 15 years as a refrigeration mechanic. During his spare time, Tom enjoyer woodworking. He was a Christian and long-time member of Reece Prairie Baptist Church in Burleson, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Otho Webb, Max Webb, and Leldon Webb.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jolene Webb; son Jearrel and wife Alaina of Joshua, Texas and their children Heather and husband Cody, Matthew, Catie, Sarah, and great-grandson Noah; daughter Mary and husband Tracy of Damascus, Arkansas and their sons BJ and Carson; and daughter Marty McGukin and husband Matt of Hueytown, Alabama and their son Micah.
He is also survived by brothers Travis and Jackie Webb of Amarillo, TX; Ralph and Karolyn Webb of Lubbock, TX; sister Lavon Crabtree of Childress, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
Our lives will be forever touched by the man he chose to be and the love he showed. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who called him Husband, Dad, Gump, Brother, Tinker, PH, and Friend
