Tommie Roye

Service for Tommie Gambrell Roye, 94, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00P.M., Sunday, March 15, 2020, at the Crosier Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Chaplain Ingo Sorke will officiate. Burial will follow in the White Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric Roye, Anthony Morales, Damon Cobb, Brad Booker and Taylor Morrison.


Tommie Gambrell Roye passed away, Tuesday, March 10, 2020 in Cleburne. She was born March 19, 1925 in Cleburne to Isaac and Gertrude (Bales) Gambrell. She married Herbert Williams Roye on September 3, 1947 in Cleburne. Before retiring Tommie was a machine operator for Walls Industries. She was life long baptist.


Tommie is survived by her sons, Samuel William Roye of Itasca, David Ray Roye of Cleburne, Joey Don Roy and wife Denise of Cleburne; grandchildren, Roger, John, Damon, April, Tyson, Melissa, Eric and 10 great grandchildren.

Tommie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert Roye in 1990; brothers, Jim, John, Melvin and Ed Gambrell; sisters, Faye Ames, Evie Leck, Ruby Bryant and Marie Beard.
