Tommie Sanderson

Service for Tommie Sue Sanderson, 72, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, Mar. 18, 2016 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Shawna Maxwell will officiate. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado. Pallbearers will be Jim Calvert, Ricky Richardson, Scott Bernard, Jerry Wayne Hart, Daniel Kile, and Ricky Sanderson. Honorary pallbearers will be R.L. Sanderson, Fred Richardson, and Dylen Peters. Visitation will be form 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home.

Tommie Sue Sanderson passed away Monday, Mar. 14, 2016 in Cleburne. She was born Sept. 24, 1943 in Cleburne to Joel and Lennie Crain Swinney. She married Loyd Wayne Sanderson on Sept. 23, 1961 in Cleburne.

Mrs. Sanderson worked as a grocery clerk in earlier years and was a member of Westhill Church of Christ.

Survivors include her daughter, Lori Sanderson; son, Russell Sanderson; granddaughters, Stephanie Peters and Stacy Waldrip, all of Cleburne; great grandsons, Dylen Peters and Billy Cole Ellis; great granddaughter, Tarah Thompson; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Joel Swinney; mother, Linnie E. Morton; husband, Loyd Sanderson; sister, Iva Lou Smith; and brother, Joel Swinney, Jr.
