A Memorial service for Troy Gene Prine, 42, will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 16, 2014 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Chief Wayland Price will officiate.
Troy was born April 29, 1971 to Roy Gene Prine and Paula Jean Leverett in Houston, Texas. Troy passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in Hill County.
Troy worked at the family business, Prines Auto Salvage, with his dad, off and on, for most of his life. Troy also worked as an EMT for Lake Whitney EMS and a volunteer fireman for various departments in the area for several years. Thanks to the efforts of Troy, numerous lives have been saved and property loss was minimal, most of which were volunteer. A lot of the time, he was the first one in and the last one out. Troy was always there to help anyone, do anything, at any time, day or night. If he was in the middle of something, he dropped what he was doing to lend a hand. He was always there to support his friends and family through the toughest of times, never asking for anything in return. Troys sense of humor was like no other. He always had a smile on his face and a hearty laugh. He was well-known and lovingly referred to as T-Roy P-Rine.
Honorary pallbearers are Alan Snider, Scott Hammel, Jimmy Hoskins, Bryan Jones and Brandon Munn.
Troy is survived by his sons, Colten Prine and fiancee Cecilia Ventura and Zackery Prine all of Cleburne; his father, Gene Prine of Cleburne; sister, Jessica Womack of Cleburne; fiancee, Heather Jobe of Cleburne, the mother of his children and best friend, Debra Prine of Rio Vista; as well as a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted mother, Paula Prine in July of 2008.
