Truman Dixon, 79, of Cleburne, Texas, passed away on December 6, 2024. A service in his honor will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 12, 2024, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel, with Pastor Jacky Mears officiating. Following the service, interment will take place at 12:30 P.M. in Rio Vista Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are Brian Ledeboer, Brandon Dixon, Hunter Dixon, Charlie Kroeger, Paul Kroeger, and Christopher Dixon. Honorary pallbearer will be Jeffery Thompson.
Truman was born on August 13, 1945, in Cleburne. He was a man of the Baptist faith, who loved his Lord. Truman proudly served his country in the United States Army as a combat medic during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he became a dedicated truck driver, developing a deep affection for his profession and his truck. He married Gladys Pearl Dixon on October 8, 2010, in Cleburne. Truman cherished his family, his late wives and loved spending time at Choctaw Casino. He enjoyed a good cup of coffee and took pride in his strong-willed nature. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Si Dixon and his wife Melinda, Sirenna Cumberland and her husband Mark. His legacy includes grandchildren, Hunter Dixon, Jordan Cumberland, Raegan Cumberland, Dillion Dixon, and Milly Dixon, as well as great-granddaughters, Mina Dixon and Mesha Dixon. He is also survived by his brother, Bill Dixon and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Truman was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Amy Dixon; son, Tod Dixon; brothers, Walter Dixon and Hardin Dixon; sisters, Nancy Thompson, Patsy Dixon, Wilma Sifford, and Barbara Henshew, and by his three wives, Patsy Dixon, Betty Ann Dixon, and Pearl Dixon.
The family would like to acknowledge the great caretakers Truman had - Evangeline Arredondo and Crystal Whisenhunt, Billy Dixon and Nina, and Angela Kroeger.
