Truman Prine

Service for Truman Scott Prine, 87, of Cleburne will be conducted at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Kenny Rigoulot will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Walter Pou III, Douglas Shouse, Wade Burnett, Otis Boyles, and Kenny Heikamp. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M., Wednesday, prior to the service.

Mr. Prine passed away Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013 in Cleburne. He was born Dec. 7, 1925 in Johnson County to Homer McDonald and Eula Fisher Prine. He married Billie Joe Johnson on May 11, 1989 in Cleburne.

Mr. Prine served his country in the Unites States Army during WWII. He worked as a carman for the Santa Fe Railroad and as a barber before retiring. He was a good, kind, and compassionate man who loved to fish. He was also an entrepreneur who enjoyed bartering at flea markets. Truman was a member of the American Legion, Masonic Lodge, Elks Lodge, DAV, Scottish Rites and the United Presbyterian Church. His strong will and independent nature will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Joe Prine; daughter, Brenda Pou and husband Walter; granddaughter, Wendee Heikamp and husband Kenny; brother-in-law, Douglas Shouse and wife Judy; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Dorothy Shouse Prine and siblings, Roy, Bertha and Marie.
