Graveside services for Vance Wayne Jenkins, 61, of Godley, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the DFW National Cemetery, Lane B.

Vance Wayne Jenkins passed away Saturday, March 15, 2008 in Godley, TX. He was born March 18, 1946 in Houston, TX to Marion Ellison and Hazel Marie Thomas Jenkins. He married Wanda Braswell.

Mr. Jenkins was a truck driver and served in the US Marine Corps. He was of the Baptist faith.

Vance Jenkins is survived by his wife, Wanda Jenkins of Godley; sons, David Jenkins and wife, Janet of Godley and Guy Jenkins and wife, Cindy; daughter, Marian Jenkins and fiance', Danny Echols of Cleburne; step-daughters, Melinda Sailor, Wanda Duffy and Rebecca Vassar; eleven grandchildren; sister, Marion White of Joshua and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Haze Jenkins.
