William "Vance" Teets

A Requiem Mass for Vance will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 17, 2024, in the Church of the Holy Comforter in Cleburne.

Vance Teets, 64, of Cleburne, passed away Monday, July 22, 2024, in Cleburne. He was born on December 25, 1959, in Helena, Arkansas to Joseph Allen Teets, Jr. and Betty (Standard) Teets. Vance was the proud owner of Teets Drilling, a partnership with his brother and nephew, dating back to 2002. The business took them across the DFW metroplex until his retirement in 2013 when he chose to dedicate his time to mastering the art of fishing. Described as a hard worker with a great sense of humor and storytelling skills that never failed to entertain, Vance brought high spirits and laughter wherever he went. He was known for his caring nature and belief in second chances. His love for fishing was surpassed only by his strong Christian faith. We are glad he is at peace and fishing with his brother, his son, and grandson in heaven. May Vance's memory be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Vance is survived by his companion, Connie Aura Teets; daughters, Amanda Campbell and husband, David of Benton, Arkansas, and Stephanie Teets of Magnet Cove, Arkansas; stepson, Oliver Cook of San Marcos, Texas; sister, Donna Jean Huston and her husband, Pat of Alvarado, Texas; grandchildren, Autumn Buffington, Lakyn Prosser, Kinsley Prosser, and Wyatt Carter Vaughn, as well as his loyal 4-legged buddy, Taco Teets. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of relatives and friends.

Vance was preceded in death by his parents; son, William Vance “Bo” Teets Jr.; brother, Joe Teets; and grandson, Dawson Buffington.

The family extends their gratitude to Dawn and Sandra from Wings Over Texas for their dedicated and compassionate care towards Vance during his time of need.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association or Church of the Holy Comforter.
