Services for Vanna Gene McFarland Panther, 74, of Joshua, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2009 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home. Mr. Jesse Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Caddo Cemetery.
Vanna Gene McFarland Panther passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2009 in Whitney. She was born November 29, 1934 in Brady to Erbie Vanna and Imogene Hopkins McFarland. She married Boyd Halbert Panther.

Mrs. Panther was a book store owner and a member of Joshua Church of Christ.

Vanna Panther is survived by her daughters, Carole Morris of Ft. Worth and Michelle Cox of Ft. Worth and husband, Michael of Ft. Worth; son, David Panther of Ft. Worth; six granddaughters, Tiffany Panther, Courtney Panther, Trista Morris Alicia Cox, Jackie Cox and Jessica Cox; two grandsons, Casey Morris and Mikey Cox and one great-granddaughter, Jaden Panther. She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd H. Panther on April 20, 1985; one brother and one sister.
