Vara Culp

Graveside services for Vara Wray Culp, 97, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2007 in the Parker Cemetery. Rev. Charles Payne will officiate.
Vara Wray Culp passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2007 in Keene. She was born April 4, 1910 in Parker, Texas to Evan Lawrence and Chellie Lissel Johnson Wray. She married Robert Culp in 1958.
Mrs. Culp formerly worked for F.W. Woolworth in Cleburne for many years. She and her late husband, Robert, owned and operated Culp Western Wear in Belen, New Mexico.
Vara Culp is survived by her step-daughter, Glenda Fisher and husband, Joe of Belen, New Mexico; step-son, George Culp and wife Dee, of Belen, New Mexico; grandchildren, Gerald Fisher, Susan Miller, Anita Wages and Dera Culp; several great-grandchildrenand a number of nieces and nephews, among them being, June Wray Rogers and Jimmy and Carol Wray. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Culp in 1969 and her 12 brothers and sisters.
