Velma Busby, 85, longtime resident of Fort Worth, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010 in Fort Worth. She was born August 22, 1925 in Johnson County to F. J. and Bessie Free Vinson.
Ms. Busby was a retired waitress. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was of the Baptist faith.
Velma is survived by two daughters, Sue Alley and husband Gene of Fort Worth and Elizabeth Williamson of Norfolk, Nebraska; six grandchildren, Michael Alley and wife Kayla of Euless, Laura DeLaCruz and husband Raymond of Crowley, Sandra Lawrence and husband Wayne of Burleson, Jason Williamson and wife Evie of Austin, David Williamson of Norfolk, Nebraska and Debra Williamson of Plainview; 13 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved son, Morris Lyon.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
