Velma Conner

Services for Velma Conner, 95, of Keene, will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2006 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Sam Houston and David Hargraves will officiate. Burial will be in Derden Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bryan Conner II, Billy Conner, Cary Brunner, Donnie Lozier, Mike Lozier, Tony Savage and Gary Cooper.

Velma Conner passed away Sunday, January 15, 2006 in Cleburne. She was born on May 17, 1910 in Woodrow Community, Hill County, Texas. She married James Conner on January 29, 1927 in Rio Vista.

Mrs. Conner was a retired seamtress for Wall Manufacturer of Cleburne. She was a member of Woodrow Baptist Church.

Velma Conner is survived by four sons, Freddie Conner and wife Betty of Covington, Marion Conner and wife Emma Lou of Baton Rogue,LA, Dwight Conner and wife Frances of Cleburne and Bryan Conner and wife Betty of Covington; two daughters, Sarah Lozier and husband David of Joshua and Johnnie Cooper of Covington; 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Conner in 1985.
