Vera Lee (Martin) Bird

 Services for Vera Lee (Martin) Bird, 93, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, July 7, 2024, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel with Mr. Alan Bird officiating. Prayer led by Elder, Weldon Jacobs. The family will be singing, “Amazing Grace”. Burial will be in DFW National Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be 5-7:00 P.M., Saturday, July 6, 2024 at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are John Bird, Ben Bird, Carl Wunderlich, Luke Kavanagh, Jacob Kavanagh, and Lane Gregory.

Vera passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024, in Cleburne. She was born April 25, 1931, in Cleburne to James Oscar and Fannie Mable (Anderson) Martin. She married Albert I. Bird in a loving union that lasted for many years. Vera was a member of Acton Methodist Church. She dedicated herself to her family. Vera and Albert Bird formerly lived in Granbury, Texas.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Alan Bird; grandchildren, Carl Wunderlich, John Bird, Erin Bird Anderson, Jacob Kavanagh, Luke Kavanagh, Nicholas Kavanagh; great-grandchildren, Lane Gregory, Bonnie Bird, Lily Bird, Benjamin Bird, Oliver Rodriguez, Milo Rodriguez, Tatum Wunderlich, Tucker Wunderlich, Kenneth Kavanagh, Lincoln Kavanagh, and DJ Kavanagh; and great-great-grandchild, Amelia Gregory; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Vera was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Jan Kavanagh; and numerous brothers and sisters.

May she rest in peace knowing she was loved and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
