Vera Ward

Graveside services for Vera Maxine Ward, 80, of Blum, will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2008 in the Blum Cemetery. Pastor Tom Wood will officiate.

Maxine Ward passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2008 in Ft. Worth. She was born December 23, 1927 in Hill County, TX to Johnny and Lela Kennedy Rape. She married McConnell Ward on March 9, 1946 in Weatherford, TX. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1978.

Mrs. Ward was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Blum.

Maxine Ward is survived by her son, Roger Ward and wife, Kathy of Cleburne; daughters, Shirley Lackey and husband, Mike of Blum and Linda Leight and husband, Rusty of Godley; grandchildren, Christy, Kelly, Carol, Michelle, Amberly and Caine; step-grandchildren, Angie, Tina and Jere; seven great-grandchildren; six ste-great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Webb of Ft. Worth; sisters-in-law, Joyce Hurst of Bedford, Rita Ward and Beula Rape both of Blum. She is preceded in death by two sisters; three brothers and her parents.
