Vernon Thomas

Service for Dr. Vernon L. Thomas, 93, of Keene will be conducted at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Bill Kilgore will officiate. Private burial will be Sunday in Keene Memorial Park.

Dr. Thomas passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011 in Keene. He was born April 9, 1918 in Okla. to Carroll and Mattie Pyett Thomas. He married Doris Marie Pack on July 22, 1981 in Ft. Worth. He was a retired physician and a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Thomas of Keene; children David Thomas of Bryan, TX and Kevin Thomas of Washington; step children, Patty Klase and Carolyn Boyette and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lynda Wylie, one step son, John Zalabak and nine brothers and sisters.
