Vicki Braga

Family and friends mourn the passing of their beloved Vicki Braga. Ms. Braga was born October 2, 1946, in Albany, California. She went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 11, 2012.

We know she has been welcomed with open arms into His kingdom, as she was blessed with a beautiful voice and the ability to play the piano. This talent started at a very early age as she and her sister performed and were known as The Braga Sisters. She made many appearances on the Ozarks Country Jubilee, Louisiana Hay Ride, Grand Ol' Opry, and later went solo by the name of Vicki Dale. She performed all over the Dallas, Grapevine, and Fort Worth area as a country singer and received an award for female country vocalist of the year from Fort Worth Country Music Association. Her God given talents will surely be used in heaven for His glory! She delighted in the outdoors and loved animals. When she wasn't behind a microphone, she enjoyed being on the water fishing. This was something she loved to share with family and friends.

She loved her parents, Angelo and Edith Braga, unconditionally. She spent the better part of the last 20 years servicing their every need and insuring they were well cared for. Upon the passing of her daddy, she has been the daughter, the best friend, and caregiver for her mother.

She is survived by her mother Edith Braga, her son Dane (Bo) Ricketts and wife Melissa along with their two children, Taylor and Reece, her sister, Javonne Braga, nephew Micah Wright and wife Laura, and niece Holly Wright and great nieces Taylia and Jahnah.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Grace Fellowship Church (Children's Building Fund), 18802 FM 2493, Flint, Texas, 75762.

Memorial graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Monday, June 18, 2012 in the Greenacres Mausoleum Chapel. Pastor Gloria Gillespie will officiate.
