Vicky Welch

Service for Vicky Lynn Barron Welch, 53, of Alvarado, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2011, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Phil Gibson will officiate. Burial will follow at Bethany Rest Cemetery in Alvarado. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Welch passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011, in Alvarado. She was born Aug. 14, 1957, in Hico to Robert Joseph and Betty Smith Barron. She married Timothy L. Welch on May 27, 1978, in Alvarado.
Mrs. Welch was an avid philanthropist, volunteering countless hours at Santa's Helpers of Alvarado, Helping Hands For Jesus, Living Water Church children's ministry and the Johnson County 4-H. She was a dog breeder and a member of the Living Water Church in Burleson.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Timothy L. Welch of Alvarado; daughter, Erin Welch Cofer and husband, Cody; son, Benjamin Welch; parents, Robert Joseph and Betty Barron; sisters, Beth Bowman and husband, Don, and Tammy Hall and fiance, Brandy; mother-in-law, Edna Welch; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
