Mrs. Abbott passed away Friday, December 30, 2005 in Cleburne. She was born August 22, 1899 in Alta Loma, Texas to Tacquard H. and Martha Perry George.
Mrs. Abbott was a retired waitress for GEM Drug Store. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Alvin since 1927 and a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 129 in Alvin.
Viola Josephine Abbott is survived by her son, George W. "Billy" Abbott of Rio Vista; daughter-in-law, Bessie Abbott of Rio Vista; grandson, Gerald Thomas Abbott of Cleburne; granddaughter, Nancy Abbott Martin and husband Stuart of Cleburne; great grandsons, Skeete Abbott of Cleburne and Kyle Martin of Cleburne; great granddaughter, Stephanie Martin of Austin; and son-in-law, Robert "Bob" Senter of Alvin.
