Viola Newman

Graveside service for Viola Cunningham Newman, 74, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, April 21, 2022, in Godley Cemetery.

Viola passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022, in Cleburne. She was born September 7, 1947, in Cleburne to Joe and Margaret Reifsnider Cunningham. She married Dan Newman on March 17, 1990, in Fort Worth. Viola worked in the nursing industry as an LVN with 40 years of service.

Viola is survived by her children, Jay Rux and spouse, Christy of Godley, Jalina McBride and spouse, Pattrick of Cleburne; grandchildren, Justin Loven of Arlington, Zachary McBride and spouse, Elizabeth of Fort Worth, Devyn Rux-McGill and spouse, Ian of Denton; siblings, Joy Cunningham of Calgary, Canada, and Alice Cunningham of Keene; seven great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, and brother, Mike Cunningham.
