Viola Walker

Services for Viola Faye "Big Sis" Walker, 78, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 21, 2010 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Dr. Don Shipman will officiate. Burial will be in the Cleburne Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Forrest Ray Fisher II, Jerry Wakeland, Jay Wakeland, , Justin Pool, Pat Dumas, Danny Bowen, Johnny Rogers and Loren Harris. Honorary Pallbearers will be Keith Reeves, Brandon Morris, Dan Massingale and Don Wilson. Visitation will be from 7-9 P.M. Monday.

Mrs. Walker passed away Thursday, September 16, 2010 in Fort Worth. She was born May 6, 1932 in Fort Worth to Tommy and Mary Kelly Taylor. She married Robert Ray Walker on June 1, 1950 in Cleburne.

Viola was the chief of inventory management control for General Service Administration, retiring with 35 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith.

Viola is survived by two sons, Timothy Walker and wife Peggy of Cleburne and Charles Walker and wife Christi of Carrollton; sister, Mary Morris-Wilson and husband Don of Cleburne; brother, Marvin Reeves and wife Billie of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren, Russell Walker, Courtney Walker, Rachael Canada and Cyndy Harris; four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy Taylor and Mary and Marvin Reeves and her husband, Robert R. Walker in 1997.
