Violet Hill

Service for Violet Hill, 85, of Grapevine, formerly longtime Cleburne resident, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church. The Reverend Charles E. Payne will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home.
Violet Hill passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 in Grapevine. She was born February 28, 1933 in Joshua to Oscar N. and Selma Garrett Rutherford. She married Winston C. Hill on June 8, 1952 in Cleburne.
Mrs. Hill was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed embroidery, word search puzzles and playing bingo.
Survivors include her daughters, Winnetta Byford and husband Tyler of Grapevine and Diane Kroesch and husband Mark of Buckley, MI; granddaughter, Amanda Mask of Irving; great grandchildren, Kaylee Mask and Raelyn Mask, both of Irving; several nieces and nephews; and her daughter’s cat, Adeline. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Winston on July 13, 1999; and a sister, Nola Waugh.
