Services for Virgene Sue Clary, 83, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 in the Crosier Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Reverend Larry York will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greenacres Memorial Park, Cleburne. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
Mrs. Clary passed away in Fort Worth on Tuesday, December 28, 2010. She was born to Parker Kellum and Nellie Burton Robinson on May 5, 1927 in Cleburne. Virgene married David Marshall Clary on March 14, 1947 in Cleburne. She was a member of Nolan River Road Baptist Church. Virgene retired after 30 years service as a telephone operator with Southwestern Bell. She was a dedicated Christian lady who was loved by everyone. She was blessed with many friends in her lifetime. She loved to sew, making her children's clothes when they were young and later in life making over 300 short sets for needy children through Operation Blessing. She enjoyed needlepoint as well. Her loving spirit and giving nature will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Mary Nell Goodman and Doris June Wiley; and brother, James Robinson.
Survivors include her children, David Clary, Regina Colle and her husband, Randy, and Robert Clary; grandchildren, Jeffrey Clary and his wife, Victoria, and Jennifer Clary; great grandchildren, Quinn, Kai, and Ezra; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
