Service for Vivian Earlene Cook, 87, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 9:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 31, 2017 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will be at 2:30 P.M. in Green Meadows Cemetery, Atoka, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be Joshua Cook, Tanner Cook, Trevor Cook, Chris Harris, Levi Hardcastle and Joe Don Burns.
Vivian Earlene Cook passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 in Fort Worth. She was born April 03, 1930 in Flagg, Texas to William Earl and Eva Ida (Baker) Cumpton. She married Holland Graham Cook on August 03, 1952 in Clovis, New Mexico.
She was a social worker for Deaf Smith County for 20 plus years and a Preschool teacher for First Baptist Church in Lewisville for 4 years. She was a member of Field Street Baptist Church in Cleburne.
Earlene was a godly woman who loved the Lord with all of her heart. She loved her church and her bible study classes. She loved her family and spending time with her children, grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She loved to cook and enjoyed spoiling them all with her famous cookies, pies, breads and chicken fried steaks. Another passion of Earlene’s was health and wellness. You could always find her at the gym working out and encouraging others. She was an avid water-skier until 75 years of age, where she finally retired her skis.
Earlene is survived by her children, Randy Cook and wife Karen of Weatherford, Ricky Cook and wife Debbie of Woodway and Robby Cook and wife Nicolynn of Cleburne; grandchildren, Alisa Harris and husband Chris of Keller, Joshua Cook and wife Christy of Denver, Colorado, Tanner Cook and wife Mandy of Leesburg Georgia, Trevor Cook of Amarillo, Destin Hardcastle and husband Levi of Cleburne and Macy Cook of Fort Worth; great-grandchildren, Emma and Paige Cook and Oakley and Sage Hardcastle; siblings, Melvin Cumpton, Carey Benjamin, Mark Cumpton, Dale Cumpton and Helen Cumpton. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Eva Cumpton; husband, Holland on February 10, 1993; sister, Hazel Cross and 3 brothers, Allen Cumpton, Perry Cumpton and Noel Cumpton and grandson Rickey Cook, Jr.
