Walter Gill

Services for Walter "Boats" Gill, 68, of Rio Vista will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Inurnment will be to follow at 1:30 P.M., in the DFW National Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M., Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009 at the funeral home.
Mr. Gill passed away Monday, Aug. 31, 2009 in Ft. Worth. He was born March 13, 1941 in Corsicana. His parents are Raymond Eugene and Alice Jewel Robinson Johnson. Mr. Gill was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired after 20 years of service. He retired for Blue Ridge Paper Products after 15 years of service. Mr. Gill was a member of the American Legion Post #648 in Rio Vista, a member of the Patriot Guard Riders of Texas, President of the Fishermens paradise Home Owners Association and member of the American Motorcycle Association.
Mr. Gill is survived by his wife, Marcela Gill of Rio Vista; father and step mother, Raymond Eugene and Dorothy Johnson of Ft. Worth; son, Andy Gill and wife Michelle of Rio Vista; two granddaughters, Jami Gill and Jesi Gill; two step granddaughters, Taylor Belt and Abbie Belt and one step grandson, Colin Belt.
